Congratulations on your acceptance to FDU, and we're looking forward to see in the fall. My name is Ihab Darwish, and I'm an Assistant Professor at the Math and Computer Science Department. Also, I'm the Director of Cybersecurity Program at Florham campus at Becton College. FDU strives to provide students with interdisciplinary, multicultural, and ethical foundation necessary for them to lead, prosper, and participate in the global market. The Computer Science Department offers many programs including the following Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, also Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with concentrations cybersecurity, Bachelor of Science with concentration in game development, as well as Bachelor of Science with concentration in data science. Now in the top of that, we have the 4 Plus 1 program which is allows students to have both a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Science together in five years.
Our math department as well offers multiple programs including the following, Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and the Bachelor of Arts in Math with different concentrations, including actuarial science, financial math, and computer science. In addition to providing state-of-the-art programs, our department has great many facilities. We have excellent and pure labs. We have game development software, we have robotics equipment, we have state-of-the-art also cybersecurity equipment and tools.
FDU has been designated by National Security Agency as a center of cybersecurity and information assurance. FDU has a mission in cybersecurity to prepare students to become an excellent professional in the cybersecurity field. On the other hand, our students in the math department, there are so many opportunities as well in businesses that they work with data and uncertainty and risk management. Since we are center for academic excellence, there are opportunities on a yearly basis by Department of Homeland Security and NSA, National Security Agency. They offer scholarship opportunities for our cybersecurity teams.
Our students, they have so many opportunities to study abroad. We have Wroxton campus in England, we have also Vancouver campus. And we have also many other places worldwide. Including we have center in China as well as Europe. We have also some other affiliation with with European universities. Internship is so important. Without internship, you cannot find a job. It is the way for you to begin working and it starts a connection for you. And of course, you know, we always promote education and knowledge but also we have to encourage internship. We have students who managed to get a job with Microsoft because of internship. So those who managed to get job with Disney because of internship. With the government as well, Lockheed Martin, VHS, VOD, or as well as Prime Pension, Arsenal, and many others. The research is one of the primary areas that we encourage students to do. For example, myself in cyber security, I have so many students who are taking research opportunities. Including, for example, how to ensure security for medical devices, autonomous vehicles, drones, and many others. Grace Hopper Conference is the world's largest and the biggest conference for a female technologist that a lot of our students they go to and it's basically an important lead for them to get opportunities.
