My name is Michael Avalrtoni. I'm the Dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences here at FDU. And I'm delighted to welcome you to our community of interprofessional learners. We're excited for the future of healthcare education here at the university. And we're preparing our students for the diverse opportunities that healthcare will continue to provide, as healthcare education continues to evolve, and our students adapt and grow and learn in the new environment of the future of health science education. We've also built a robust experiential platform that allows our students to learn together where they can begin practicing, not just as providers themselves, but as providers as part of an interdisciplinary team where they work with other healthcare practitioners to be able to treat the patient as the center of their world, and to think about ways that they can use their professional expertise to make decisions that are the best for their patients and for their populations that they serve.
We're pleased to be able to offer our students a learning experience that suits their needs, while providing them a state-of-the-art facility, world class faculty, and experiences that provide them great hands-on learning. Our faculty have worked very hard to build a customizable program that allows students to excel while growing and developing their skills inside real world simulated laboratories, including our hands-on Interprofessional Learning Center, a virtual cadaver space, and a number of classrooms, laboratories and learning environments that provide first rate hands-on experiences through active learning, engagement, and personalized growth.
We've been able to provide extensive experiences for our students by establishing a network of partnerships across the state and region with some of the world's premier corporations and healthcare partners. Some of these partners include Becton Dickinson, Novartis, Bayer, Johnson and Johnson, and Pfizer. And we've seen our students go on to have robust careers in these areas. Within the health system area, we've also had a number of partnerships with Hackensack Meridian Health, Atlantic Health, RWJBarnabas, Valley Hospital, and others, where we've seen our students take their experiential knowledge and apply it to open up new career doors and pathways.
We've created a number of opportunities for undergraduates to accelerate their studies to five, six, and seven year programs that allow you to convert your Bachelor's degree into an accelerated degree at either the Master's or the doctoral level of your choosing. Students will have opportunities for seven year accelerated study in pharmacy, as well as six year study in occupational therapy, five year study in physician assistant studies, as well as five year pathways for social work and for public health. The Master's in Physician Assistant Studies is a 29 month program that's built to provide opportunities for students who want to enter into physician assistant studies across its many growing and emerging areas. PAs are one of the fastest growing professions and also selected as one of the number one professions in health care to provide opportunities in day to day practice.
Our students learn to grow and adapt their skills into one of the fastest growing professions inside the healthcare space. Our Physician Assistant Program is built as a 29 month Master's pathway that provides opportunities for students who are interested in entering into one of the fastest growing and one of the hottest areas for opportunity inside healthcare. Our Master of Social Work Program is a 24 month 60 credit fully online program that's built to suit the needs of our students as they begin to develop the skills necessary to enter into the many areas and facets of social work. Today, we look forward to showing you how you can explore new pathways to the future of health science education and careers and pharmacy, physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, public health, and social work.
