Florham Campus Around Town Tour

The Florham Campus Area.

Tired of studying? Ready for an evening out? The choice is yours – stay on campus or enjoy everything the nearby towns of Madison, Florham, and Morristown have to offer--as well as everything in New York City. Whether you're looking to catch a movie, or to try a new restaurant or do some shopping, you'll find plenty of options close by.

In Madison, there are dozens of quaint shops, cafes and delicatessens that cater to the college crowd. The campuses of FDU, Drew University and St. Elizabeth College are all within walking distance of the others, enabling students from each school the chance to study and hang out together. And whenever you hunger for big-city life, New York City is just a short ride away. You can catch a bus at the front gate of campus or a train a short walk away and be in midtown Manhattan in just 40 minutes.

Learn more about the Florham Campus, or take a virtual tour.

Hi, we're here in Madison. My name is Keisha.

And my name is Matt and we're going to be showing you around a few places that FDU students like to eat, shop, and spend time off campus.

Here we have Madison Mud Clay Studio. It's located on Main Street. It's a short walk from our Florham campus. It's a really cool place to come and hang out, make some pottery and it is our first stop on our tour of Madison.

The Bottle Hill Tavern offers great lunch and dinner specials. My personal favorite is the chef salad. Directly next to it is Crowley Cupcakes. This bakery is a fan favorite among students and admissions counselors.

This is Chatham Booksellers. It's quaint little bookshop off Main Street in Madison. They have wonderful selections of books and I could just spend hours browsing the selections.

I may be an out of state student, but I know how important New Jersey bagels are. Madison Bagel offers fresh bagels and doughnuts made daily.

McCool's is a short walk from campus and right by the pottery studio. It is a great place to come on a warm day. They hire lots of FDU students there and it's a wonderful place to get ice cream and cakes. In Madison, there are lots of places to park on the side of the road and in some parking lots. It's all free and it's great when you want to get into town and have a fun day with your friends.

Madison train station is one of the nearest train stations to the Florham campus. This train station is part of the Morris and Essex line students and faculty can get into Newark and New York Penn Station in less than an hour from this train station.

Here we have an escape room. It's off of Main Street, and it's a great place to come and test your skills with your friends and family.

Madison Pharmacy is a family owned business located at 66 Main Street in Madison, New Jersey. This pharmacy is open seven days a week. They also deliver prescriptions to the Wellness Center at FDU Florham campus.

This is Palm Thai, a great Thai restaurant one of my favorite places to eat off campus. It is located on Main Street.

Nikki's Firehouse Pizzeria is located just off Main Street in Madison, New Jersey. This family friendly restaurant also accepts the Fairleigh One card. Make sure to ask about their student discount next time you stop in.

Thank you for joining us. We hope you enjoyed seeing our beautiful town and our favorite spots.

If you want to see more of Madison or learn more about what it offers to FDU, make sure to get in touch with one of your admissions counselors.

Thanks!
